Hopefully the city will get something done about this as I got tired of looking at the algae everyday in the creek when I sat on my lanai while being there for the winter. I would like to return to some clean water outside my unit.

Can't tell if this is referring to the ditch behind the condo, which I believe is blocked by a fence to block the Publix or the stormwater pond. The stormwater pond has an algae or duckweed problem. I haven't gotten close enough to figure it out, but regardless, that is a private maintenance issue. Have the managers dig out the original design for the pond to make sure it doesn't need to be dredged. Don't just spray the algae, the dead algae will just sink to the bottom and become nutrients for the next bloom. The actual maintenance of the pond needs to be changed. It's Florida, we have a lot of sun- algae happens. If you don't want algae issues, work with residents and landscapers to reduce the nutrients entering the pond.
