It is very dangerous to cross Van Ness, especially for older people, because there is no timer letting you know how long you have. Given there are 4 lanes of traffic and a median, there is rarely enough time to get across the street without being caught in a "red light" and having traffic start to zoom through. Very dangerous. Timer desperately needed.
