I am requesting the emergency placement of salt or removal of snow and ice in the alley behind 1648 Park Road, NW (off of Mt. Pleasant St, NW between Heller's Bakery and Samber's Market.) Due to limited mobility, to get to work each day, I must enter and exit my apartment through my back door leading to the alley, currently covered with snow and ice. The back steps are easier to use and the alley allows a taxi to back close enough to the back steps to minimize the walk to the vehicle. I have arthritis - rheumatoid and Osteo. I use crutches each day, due to a need for hip replacement surgery and stiffness related to arthritis.
