When they renovated the wide sidewalk in front of what used to be the police substation, they made two annoying changes. One, the Post Office refused to replace the mail dropbox that stood there for years. Two, they replaced the No Turn On Red sign oriented in the wrong direction so that it instructs east-bound Whalley drivers not to turn right onto Norton instead of telling north-bound Norton drivers not to turn right onto Whalley.
I reported this mistake a couple of months ago but Public Works refused to admit its mistake so the confusing sign remains in place. Maybe somebody else can figure out how to get a public agency to check its own work for errors because I can't seem to.
