Location: Pinellas Trail 38th Ave N. overpass, near Tyrone Blvd. Old Walmart parking lot.
Two men, (whom appear to be homeless) consistently hang around the part of the pinellas trail near the old Walmart parking lot. Today, I walked down the ramp, and they were both sitting there. They have two stolen shopping carts, a walker, and a tote. There is trash EVERYWHERE. What's more disgusting than the trash, is that on my way back I walked by them again. Both were in the bushes near where the ramp from the overpass ends, and it reeked of feces. I'm not sure exactly what was going on, but if I had kids that witnessed that, I would have lost my mind. We like to walk from Ryan's meat market and the produce stand down towards first watch, and often times don't because there are so many vagrants. There is clearly still one living under the overpass. I'm hoping someone is able to put a stop to this once and for all.I've attached an image of the "Underpass Suite" and some of the trash. I did not take a picture of the defecating men.

We work closely with various City departments and local social service providers to address issues faced by our homeless population, and we also work with neighborhood associations to address the concerns they have, as well. Our Police Department has a Street Outreach Team that actively canvasses areas where the activities of the homeless are noticed, and they will continue doing so to ensure the safety of all citizens. Please immediately report any criminal activity or safety concerns to the SPPD directly by calling 727-893-7780 if not an emergency, or 911 if an emergency. Thank you.
