I have heard back from our Signal Timing Technician. The weekends do run a shorter cycle at this intersection, and all along University. This is to make more time for Light Rail Transit. He stated that they will talk with Metro Transit about it, but to fix this would mean running a different schedule on the weekends for the entire LRT corridor, which may not be feasible. He is looking into it, but stated that this is not something that would be a quick fix.
