Poverty stricken destitute penniless and downtrodden individuals are accused of pressing the crosswalk button to solicit much needed dollars and change for items i suppose that are not covered or purchasable via Government issued Food Stamps.(cough medicine , aspirin , dry socks etc.)
The disenfranchised and not represented by any Legal Aid or have any access into The Process.

SO , we can thank them ,
Pull over or open your window and hand them a buck and / or a cup of joeA.

BECAUSE they probably are saving a life or two by pressing that button , Cars fly down that ramp as if it's a landing runway for 747's or a Spacecraft takeoff ramp.
Vehicles barrel down recklessly at speeds ala a salt flat race strip..Just like in their 'burbs do they not heed pedestrians , cows , students or inebriated city ..Oh hey
