Though I appreciate and understand the desire to have cleared sidewalks, it seems to me (and it may only be me, that having to involve the City in a simple trimming of shrubs is a waste of time and money. How would you suggest that someone address this issue and other "simple" landscaping issues rather than get the City involved?

understanding: Unfortunately, it seems the majority of people who have to be called out, even very cordially and politely, on their codes compliance tend to take it as a confrontational situation. I've found it is best to let the city mediate and remain an anonymous reporter.
