Description

The east bound lane of the South Street bridge stays straight and then splits to a right hand turn lane, with a bike lane in between. Every day at rush hour, people line up in the right hand turn lane, then when the light turns green speed up to try and cut over to the straight lane. Almost every car in line does this. The problem is the bike lane goes straight and they are endangering not only bikers but pedestrians due to the high speeds and then illegal maneuver. If it was one person it wouldn't be a big deal, but this is nearly every car and its happening every day. If a cop was placed at this intersection, the city could make a fortune in tickets, but also ensure the safety of this highly traveled foot and bike route. Please try and stop this its very dangerous.
