Seriously. Next time their isn't a space for me to park I WILL park in front of a fire hydrant. Give me a ticket. Then when I go to pay it I will tell them that we are even.

Let me explain something to you concerned citizen. "ALL" emergency vehicles and officers have radios. Should a call come in "ALL" emergency vehicles/officers are informed via radio. In other words, and, to make this short, all emergency responses are on the same page. So, any emergency vehicle who is parked near or in front of a hydrant will move it before any apparatus shows up. To answer your question, I am perfectly acceptable with this "behavior, practice" or what ever you want to label it.
In your post you said "it was to prove a point." Point taken but, I am not wrong just by reading your first post which you may want to read again.
