The city will conduct a study to see if a centerline is warranted along this street. We can also investigate potential crosswalks if provided with a location. Please note that crosswalks can only be installed where there is sidewalk to sidewalk connectivity.

There has been talk of side walks for years along Grand Traverse drive. Speed humps or something similar would also help keep speeds down.

Speed humps have been discussed before and due to response issues with emergency vehicles they can not be done in Hedingham.

Speed humpd do not hinder emergency vehicles..talk to the FD they will twll you. Noone is talking about the 10" bumps in malls, just something to help slow traffic. Seems like the only people saying no are the ones with lowered vehicles. They are not the majority here. He excuse of emergency vehicles is moot.

emergency response routes."

Studies have found a reduced response time, where every second is critical, and there is still additional wear and tear on the responding vehicles as well as private vehicles in the place of this traffic calming area. Also, be aware that speed humps are only effective when used in multiples, so there would be more than just one, which again attributes even more to a delayed response and to additional wear and tear.
