Unfortunately you can't get speed bumps by commenting on Clikfix. We have the same problem on Truman Street. I submitted an application for 'Street Calming Measures' to the City of New Haven Traffic and Parking and City Planning office for the speeding we also have regularly on Truman Street (officially requesting stop signs, speed bumps, curb bumpouts) and spoken to Jim Travers of Traffic and Safety about having something done. One thing I would suggest, IF the offenders are regular, contact your District Manager (Lt Holly Wasilewski 203-946-7273), give her the days and time, and possibel plate numbers of the these cars, and ask her to have a car in the area.
This is an older issue and therefore will be closed. To inquire about the possibility of getting speed humps installed, read about that process through the Complete Streets Program. You can find information about it here: http://www.cityofnewhaven.com/Engineering/completestreets.asp and also look at the list of submitted projects to see if your idea for safer streets has already been submitted.
