Please assign this to community relations and police. This vehicle in the bike lane is representative of literally hundreds which regularly park on 3rd Street. They are often making pick-ups from the 3rd square lobby, despite there being numerous places in adjacent side streets where they could wait without impeding traffic. Cars often park in front of the handicap ramp here too. I have complained about this for 2 years to police, parking enforcement, and on this app, and the situation has only gotten worse. Please do something!

@Public Works: Is there anything we can do to help increase enforcement against this behavior ?
Some zones like Central Square are easily targetable, as there are always at least 5 cars in the bike lane despite available parking a few feet away.

Thank you for reporting. Issues like double parking, cars in bike lanes, etc. should be reported as they occur to the Cambridge Police Department Non-Emergency line at 617-349-3300 so that units can be dispatched to the location at the time such issues are seen. This system is best suited to respond to service requests like potholes, street lights, rodent issues, etc. that can be assigned to staff and addressed in a timely manner.
However, we will share this concern with the appropriate departments so that this report can be taken into consideration as we study future roadway design and enforcement efforts.
