I agree. The property manager is doing nothing. All that would need to be done is to post a no parking sign.

The police came when I was threatened by the tenant who parks his car this way. The tenant has left and the police does not issue parking tickets. They came to resolve a dispute and left. Should I go to Parking Services in person? I am willing to do anything to get this to stop.

I have a driveway into my home and When I was ready to leave at 7am for my 8am medical appointment there is a car blocking my entire driveway. Yes I know, drive around it... But my driveway has a 16' wide gates where are attached to a fence on both sides. Since I cannot drive through the Fence... I call the Police. (according to one city Official, I cannot call a tow truck to remove a vehicle blocking my driveway) The police arrive 17 minutes later. They run the tag. They cannot find a phone # for the owner but their address is a block and a half away. It is now 7:30am and the police leave to find the owner. The police come back 10 minutes later and tell me the owner of the vehicle is on their way. Ten minutes later a young woman shows up with a small child, who show no remorse about keeping me blocked in my yard. Gets in the vehicle and drives away. The police say they are sorry about this but the owner of the vehicle gets no ticket, no fine, nothing but a few words from the police saying that she should look where she parks. I call the Doctor's office to cancel and get the next available opening 2 weeks later. That is the THIRD time this year, 2017 this has occurred. Why can't I call a tow truck to remove a vehicle blocking my driveway???

The police are completely ineffective. They do not understand that alley parking behind my car is a huge problem for me, as I have serious pain issues and cannot properly turn my neck. I am so sick of people parking behind my car.

According to current Florida Law, Florida State Statue; FSS 316.1945 (1) (B) 1; In front of a public or private driveway.

The uniform traffic citation prepared by the department pursuant to s. 316.650 may not be issued for violation of a municipal or county parking ordinance.

(4) A violation of this section is a noncriminal traffic infraction, punishable as a nonmoving violation as provided in chapter 318.
