The clouds of dust seem less visible with the less windy weather, but the windows of our house and our cars (even though they're parked on the Goldhunter Ct side) still get a good coating.

Still no apparent attempts at mitigation by the contractors though either...

Hi Michael.

Our inspector went out yesterday and spoke to the contractor. They were using the wrong size hose to spray water and control dust. They were instructed to use an appropriate amount of water on the loose soil to keep it from becoming airborne and to closely monitor the dust control measures. If the dust continues then other mitigation measures will need to be implemented to maintain dust control. We will be keeping a close eye on this. The developers have been notified and the building inspector will be working with the contractors to ensure that the matter is being addressed appropriately.

No visible attempts to mitigate dust -- no water (using hoses of ANY size), no other apparent methods either. See attached photo.

Thanks for the photos Michael. Our inspector discussed with the superintendent again last week and they were notified that if they don't comply with the dust control measures, they will need to stop work. Thank you Mike and FC CDD Planning Manager - not only are our cars, houses, bikes, dogs coated in more dust than usual, but our allergies are acting up because of it, so it is a health issue now as well.

I also live on Goldhunter Ct and can not leave my windows open without having to clean up layers of dust everyday.
I agree with Micheal, this is becoming a health issue.

I went to the city council meeting to address exactly this ongoing issue. We live on Flying Cloud Isle directly in line with the prevailing winds from the construction site and our home, autos and landscaping/deck and patio furniture etc. are drowning in uniformly fine granular sand from the site. I find it necessary to either hand wash (using scarce water and looking like and environmental heretic and/or pay $17.00 a wash at the VC Blvd car wash several times a month just to be able to see out of my vehicles to drive safely. IMO the contractors should be: #1 mitigating the dust. #2. reimbursing residents for the expenses they encounter simply trying to keep their homes and properties inhabitable. As others have commented as well, there's also a lot of inexplicable coughing and sneezing going on in our Flying Cloud Isle home. I'll try to post a picture of the dust collected on one of my automobiles just one day after I washed it.

I'd like to add a picture of my Bar B Q displaying a longer term exposure to the Triton project. Please disregard the Sares reference visible in the dust. It was written in by myself in a fit of pique and, at the time, I misunderstood what agent was responsible. It does, nonetheless, indicate the "depth" of the problem.

Still see clouds of dust arising from this construction site; still experiencing layers of dust on our home, our cars, everywhere; and my wife's allergies still act up, coughing and sneezing immediately upon arriving home... I have NEVER observed ANY attempts at dust mitigation performed by the construction crews -- I have certainly not seen any sprinkler systems in use (or even any wet or moist ground). I walked next to the construction fence just this morning and observed excavators digging holes and moving dirt, and I saw NO evidence of any attempts to control dust -- just clouds of it floating into the air.

Is there ANY attempt to enforce the rules regarding dust mitigation at all? Is there any attempt to even monitor that they are following the rules?

We live on Goldhunter and are also victims of these damaging dust clouds everyday. I applaud Mike and other neighbors' persistent efforts to bring this to the city's attention, and meanwhile am disappointed that the problem hasn't been solved at all after 3 months. It appears the construction company is in blatant violation of the city's requirements and actually lying about it (claiming wrong hose size when they are not spraying water at all according to Mike's eyewitness). If the city truly enforces as they claimed, the construction should be STOPPED right away and cannot resume until the proper measures are in place and continue to be. Meanwhile, the city should advocate on our behalf to hve the wrongdoer compensate partially for the damages they have caused-- e.g. giving free car/house/tree washes for residents directly affected. If our collective voices go silent in this channel, there is always the alternative process to deal with this, in which case the city would be on the line as well.

The City has taken various steps with the builder in order to mitigate the dust issues across the street. Have there been improvements? Please let us know. Thank you.

I have noticed damp ground at the site recently, which I assume to be evidence that the builder has been sprinkling to mitigate the dust... Although I'd like to believe it has made a difference and reduced the amount of dust, I can see that there is still a significant layers deposited daily on neighborhood cars. I do appreciate the efforts to monitor and properly administer adherence to our rules governing construction and builder behavior...

I do have issue with regard to allowed construction hours -- I'll post as a separate complaint/issue however...
