I encourage you to research the harm done to the ducks health and to the ecosystem by feeding them human food, particularly bread. The Humane Society has information on their website. I love and respect nature and animals, which is why I would not want to harm them or their environment. My child enjoys watching the birds and knows it is not healthy to feed them human food. It is a good lesson for them to learn. A park without wildlife would be sad. However, having large amounts of poop all over the ground & sidewalks where children play is not "natural". Naturally, waterfowl does not congregate in a single location to eat, and then poop, like they do when bread is thrown all over the ground.
