As with every other non safety critical issue, litter removal has taken a back seat to more important issues, such as snow removal and pothole repair. We have generated a work order for this issue and it will be resolved by the contracted Prison inmate work crew on the first weather permitting day. As I have mentioned to you previously, we encourage those who are willing and able to take a proactive approach in assisting us to maintain the safety and aesthetics of our roadways by participating in our Adopt a Highway program.
