Deskripsyon

Due to improperly configured light timing at Fishers Lane and Ardennes Ave along Twinbrook Pkwy traffic is very congested even during non-peak hours. Drivers on Twinbrook Pkwy often sit, gridlocked, at these two lights as they complete a full cycle with little or no traffic entering from the side roads. The traffic light timing needs to be adjusted here to ease congestion.

I sent an e-mail about this issue to the City of Rockville, and the Chief of Traffic and Transportation responded and said that he referred it to Montgomery County, but still no response.

Also, the right arrow signal from Ardennes to Twinbrook Parkway is burnt out. They need to fix that too.

I live nearby and am always frustrated by the ill-timed lights on Twinbrook Pkwy. It's horrid in December; it's awful all year during the many morning and evening rush hours, and now for some reason worse much of the day. Please - someone in authority - Fix the traffic light timing!!!

Quick update to my last post. County DOT tells me that there are several vehicle sensors that are damaged which has caused the signal timing problem. They are continuing to monitor the area and will make improvements.

Thanks, Ken! I know a lot of people whose lives would be made a little better by getting those vehicle sensors fixed. It is good that we know now what the problem is.
