I have passed along this recommendation to the School Dept. It is the School Dept. that determines Crossing Guard locations. However, you should note that there is an existing Crossing Guard two blocks away at the intersection of Carter and Blossom. I don't know why that wouldn't be an appropriate place for children to cross heading for the High School. It sounds as though this problem may be less one of children needing to cross the street to get to school than it is children just playing around as they await a bus. I don't know if the School Dept. will find that sufficient for deployment of a Crossing Guard, but I have passed along the information. Tom Ambrosino, City Manager.
