The person in charge of this project is Garrick Bayton (Engineer II, DPU, Streetlights, 804-646-7690, garrick.bayton@richmondgov.com.) I wrote to him on September 19 and got this non-response on September 20.

DPU Streetlight Division is aware of your concern. This project is still under construction, and will be completed as soon as possible. The light fixtures are complete (lamps are installed, and no additional glass is needed). Thank you for your patience in this matter.

I sent this follow up on October 18 and have received no response at all:

Hi Garrick. It has now been a full month since we last corresponded about the non-functioning street lights on Mulberry Street and there has been no progress whatsoever. Has the contractor moved on to other projects and forgotten about this one? In any case it's just a matter of time before neighbors start to comment on Nextdoor and other social media. What's the latest?

Both the delay in getting the lights completed and the lack of response from a public employee are outrageous.

JKS, thank you for this information and your efforts. I will call the number and email today. In the meanwhile, perhaps if more residents complained about these non- functioning lights on See Click Fix, then the City would appreciate the urgency felt by the residents.

Hello all, the Electrical Distribution Division is waiting on the work order to come from the Technical Services Engineer.

Could Electrical Division or the Engineer please be proactive and stop waiting? The division that posts the no parking signs is very proactive - as in the signs are up for weeks while no work is performed. Meanwhile we have to park our cars in trees.

Yes, there needs to be a greater sense of responsiveness and proaction at Electrical Distribution and Technical Services, both of which work for us. Perhaps we should find out who to contact at Technucal,Services, while also reaching out via Nextdoor and our City Council rep.

Lights still not working, many months after they were installed. Does anyone have an update on this situation?

The Work Order was received last week, this project will be scheduled. DPU Streetlights is very shorthanded at the moment and we are trying to complete jobs as quickly as possible; however, at this time I can not provide a completion date.
