In this case, the loading dock behind the building seems like a pretty good option. Or in the driveway on the side of the building.
But that's besides the point. Their desire to travel a short distance with their cargo should not take precedence over the right of other street users to do so safely.

The problems were pretty similar before. Cars have always parked in the bike lane on that side, and it has been signed "no stopping" for a long time as well.
I thought the idea was to have short-term parking in the parking lane on the opposite side, though, which has not appeared. Meters not yet installed perhaps? Not having people parked there all day long would help. As is, there's no temporary parking on the street, which is part of what causes truck drivers to park in dangerous and illegal places.

I don't actually want the police to respond. I want the road back to the way it was before the bike lanes and parking was added to the middle of the road. It is entirely reasonable for an armored car to stop close to their destination. What is unreasonable is that the City of Cambridge makes this impossible to do in a legal manner.
Please add this as (yet another) comment on the craziness of the current road layout and signage on CPD
