The residents of 804 W Hargett St has illegally placed No Parking signs along the curb of West Hargett in front of his property. The remainder of the street does allow on-street parking. He parks his own vehicles on the street in front of his house.

You can't just decide to put up No Parking Signs along the curb in front of your own property.

Only City Councils or governing boards are able to determine 'No Parking' designations along public streets. NC General Statutes § 20-162.1 - Prima facie rule of evidence for enforcement of parking regulations. It says even HOAs are not allowed to, much less individual residences on city streets, and West Hargett is designated by CoR for on-steet parking.

Y'all ar ridiculous. Nobody can just decide to place a sign in front of their yard like that. The city owns the street. Who made you owner of the road? Illegal signs are dumb. Remove it!

Also see city ordinance Sec. 11-2182 that specifys that the city can make protected residence parking but this is not even close to being official.

I used to live in the apartments across the street. There were probably 3 signs there in front of the house along the curb. He put them up after Trophy Brewing opened. He used to put cement blocks in the street in front of the house on Wednesday nights to keep the running club people from parking in front of the house. Oh the joys of Downtown living!
