This is an issue that is being addressed currently in a systematic and professional manner based off of a very in depth review of the entire Department of Housing Economic Development and Commerce along with recommendations that include the IT division and Human Resources. These changes are being rolled out based on priority and need. The Office of Innovation through a grant and by working closely with the Mayor's Office has listened to businesses and residents and I have been placed in the Office of Construction Code by the Mayor to make sure that the City is able to provide streamlined permitting in all of its permitting divisions. So our Office of Construction Code is working on this issue and also working with the other divisions so that no one is held up with projects spanning several offices/divisions.
