if it is only the cold water in your home that is discolored, you will need to contact a plumber. If all the water in your home is discolored, call the water dept. at 781 393 2502.. A recent water main break/ repair is probaly the reason.

Thanks for the advice - I should have come back and closed the ticket after I'd called the water department and they confirmed the water main issue on Winthrop Street.
