Description
The corner of Elm and Orange used to be occupied by Webster Bank. Two recent snow events have proved the city obviously doesnt care about the people who live and work in this city. IF the sidewalk was taken care of, my three year old could have done a better job. The conditions were EXTREMELY slippery and unsafe. This location is NEXT DOOR to City Hall. The city of New Haven should be ASHAMED they allow sidewalks to look like this days after snow.
I have attached some images from Monday morning (1/9/16)
. Unfortunately I failed to get one of the other side of the building on Elm Street where the entrance to financial center garage (pitkin tunnel). The ramp of the sidewalk actually had snow put on it!! Can you imagine an elderly or handicap person trying to navigate this portion of the sidewalk.

This way you can experience the full effect of being ignored. He hasn't responded to any inquiry regarding City Departments for issues in 2016... I tried so many times its Pathetic. if you don't want to do your job just quit and let someone one else do it.
Problem is there are no repercussions for this type of negligence, just be glad it will be 50 by Tuesday and i twill be gone.

It melted...now can we address the source of the problem instead of the effect.
Is DPW going to be pro active and actually speak with the property owner(s) or is this going to just continue to occur until spring ???
Please respond with an answer.
Thanks
