No heavy trucks trucks restriction and sign posting, through the neighborhood and surrounding roads.

The City does not typically install "No Truck" signs in a given area unless there is a noted compliance issue that persists after targeted education and enforcement. Signs are one mechanism to remind drivers of the City’s many traffic ordinances but staff has found over the years that a more proactive and more targeted approach is helpful in curbing truck route violations. The City's Traffic Engineering group is conducting a study of such violations on The Arts Drive. This will reveal what time of day violations are most prevalent to help RPD with enforcement efforts. If you have witnessed trucks driving on your residential street, please send the name of the trucking company, the date, time of day, and location to TrafficEngineering@raleighnc.gov.
