Totally agree. At some point the powers to be need to step up and enforce the code laws that I assume are in place - OR - provide the often requested update- and confirm that its in process. Might help reduce the frustrations for those who see it daily that an end is insight. I believe they monitor this app soooo....

That's just ridiculous. I've watched established homeowners get cited for the most silly things and this monstrosity has been permitted to exist for nearly 2 yrs. They seem very mismanaged in Saint Pete.

Homeowner comes out and pushes a pile of bricks around and it's called "adequate progress".

They need to get it together in the city. They concern themselves with "things" they shouldn't and not enough on things that they should be concerned with.

Let's all call & ask for Ryan for assistance & updates. It's more than just sanitation complaint. Visual it is terrible. The termite tarp over the whole structure for one, open structure is unsafe for two.
Case # 1707 is only for sanitation complaint.
Owner did not honor request from city to clean up mow area so they are now doing it themselves & putting a lien on property for the cost to the city.
The owner can't even come out to clean up & mow. He certainly will not be working on it to complete project anytime soon either.

Not only is this ugly, but also looks very unsafe!

If we should happen to get a tropical storm or hurricane this would be very unsafe for the homes around this lot.

I have made many phone calls as recommended. Gene the investigator was very helpful & pleasant to work with. I am happy to report there is progress on the property again. Ppl currently working on it today. We all hope this is a sign of more to come & will be complete soon. All for the best interest of our beloved community, historic uptown.

It looks like this is finally moving along! I don't really understand why they needed to move the old house, you can't even really tell now that it has been stucco'd.

This is a code issue, no doubt. This is the type of stuff the city should work very hard with, and stay on top of stuff like this. In the case like this, being a hazard the the community I think more than a lien should be applied. Sometimes, code enforcement is justified, and many times it is not and it is created by perpetrators that do not have a valid claim, and @#$% good people off especially when they might own a property, and for years they did not know there where issues dealing with no permits on the property after they bought it That is what is happening to me right now, and it is costing me plenty.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
