Description
My Mom's car is in front of my house (16 Fairbanks) for two days, and she gets a ticket... cited... odd/even ban...first we have heard of this... Meanwhile...our neighbor, whom rents out part of his house has his tenant's two vehicles parked the wrong way in front of our house every night... Baseball season is coming too... people will be parked all up and down the street....If you are going to enforce the rule... please do so with some consistency... Also... please patrol Furber field... We are seeing used condoms on the curb side as well as litter... there are no parking signs there... I don't think I should have to pay this ticket... A warning is more in line... If we knew, we would have figured something else out... the ticket number is 8063484... I would like it rescinded

Thanks for the feedback
Unfortunately. That isn't going to cut it... it's not ignorance. It is that the lack of consistency is so tilted on the towns behalf that I feel that it should be voided. It was 2:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. What makes it more ridiculous is that I had the presence of mind to put my Mothers car in the driveway on Tuesday do for trash day. I happened to notice that the trash and recycle collectors had to work around my neighbor's tenants car to do their job.
Your response is not rude. You are simply defending the town that you dedicate your service to. However, you are deflecting all responsibility onto me. If we pay our taxes we have a right to ask the town to meet us somewhere in the middle. The signs st the entrance to the town are obviously not sufficient. Let's not sight fine print to absolve the town of what is right.
If this is the towns stance then I expect to see tickets up and down the street all year long.
Sorry. Not in agreement with you

As to where you should park when the kids want to play in the driveway: follow the law and park on the side of the street that is permitted by the law (This year would be on the odd side)

I will have parking enforcement keep a look at all cars in the area

Ok.. Thank you for acknowledging it... I would like to know if you will honor my request to void the ticket. I think this odd/even rule should be looked at, as it pertains to roads such as mine. The frequency of travel, coupled with the fact that the need to park on the street is not at a high, makes this rule more of a hassle to both residents and the town alike... We really should be able to put our car in front of our house for any reason on a temporary basis... I'm sure this would be an act of congress... but that is my two cents...
Thanks
