A recurring issue.

It seems to still be happing. At least a month...

Thank you for reporting! The Police Department's Community Service Section (CSS) has already been investigating this issue and have been to this location multiple times. CSS has one part-time and three full-time employees who are responsible for addressing all quality of life concerns, supporting Neighborhood Watch groups, and working with the Neighborhood Law Program and Code Enforcement to address distressed and dangerous properties. We work hard to investigate each report in a timely manner, and will investigate this report as soon as we possibly can. Please keep in mind there is a lengthy process to remove illegal encampments. Yes, thank you for your good work. Is this a good time to ask why Community Service Section is so poorly funded and staffed (CSS has one part-time and three full-time employees)? It seems that this is the one of few police divisions involved in good old-fashioned Community Policing, actively improving neighborhood quality of life.

Maybe a few less machine guns and armored cars, and a couple more full-timers at Community Services, and Code Enforcement and we'd see some highly visible improvements to Vallejo -- and maybe some more of the innovation award news stories that came with PB.

They're back! Fishing poles in the water, bedding and sleeping bags waiting behind utility box @ Maine & MIW. Guess they have code enforcement figured out: pack up during the day, but stay close for the night.
