I have opened two or three SCF items about this intersection and the illegal parking. I see that it has gotten a little bit better from Oakwood to the first no parking sign, but people still pull up there and wait in the car. They now use it as a "loading zone." The second area of no parking during certain hours is still almost always ignored. This area in front of the stores is REALLY bad. It is very tight, people are opening their doors and crossing the street, and cars speed through it. It needs tight, routine police monitoring.
Lt. Jones indicates that this has been an ongoing issue for some time now. We have issued tickets in the past and we are working on a project to make that entire side of the block a “No Parking Zone”. Lt. Jones has asked our community policing officers to increase enforcement efforts of the No Parking Zone.
