The entire length of Rt 2 from downtown Troy to Grafton is in need of repair, especially the shoulders!!! In most places the shoulder is either non-existent or too rough to drive or ride a bicycle on. This presents a very dangerous situation for cyclists and/or pedestrians trying to use the road. The lack of a safe shoulder forces cyclists and pedestrians into the traffic lane resulting in traffic back-ups and angry drivers. Rt 2 is a major thoroughfare through Rensselaer County and should be fixed immediately for the safety of its residents.
