Attached is the site plan from a 2003 Zoning permit for the property. It depicts a driveway on the approved plan. The property owner was informed on Monday that the Police Department can ticket property owners for inoperable or unregistered vehicle left on a property more than 5 days. They informed me it would be back in the approved driveway area before the end of the day Friday. I checked earlier today and it was still off to the East side of the driveway. We will check again Monday and confirm the registration information with the police department.
I don't think that is going to happen, in the Free press of 7-7 2017 our Police Chief Del Pozo when asked about enforcing some traffic issues responded by saying "I'm not going to put MY Officers in the middle of this " He goes on to say : He does not want to distract from opioid crisis and other serious crimes for traffic enforcement ". With this type of selective enforcement policy I don't see the police department giving tickets on private property.
with the total destruction the city allowed on the former St Josephs orphanage property on North ave, it seems this issue isn't even a drop in the bucket comparatively. With the amount of taxes this property owner pays, I see no reason to deny his use of it as he pleases if with-in the law, and the busy bodies need to start looking at the plank in their eyes instead of the sliver in their brothers.....
Nothing seems to have changed here... additional vehicles are now parking all over the back yard at random times, and the dead car is still right where it has been.
A separate issue has been created in the other category as an abandoned vehicle for this. It is not yard parking as originally reported. We have established that it is a driveway. See the attached issue for additional comments.

I realize you don’t think the vehicle is parked in the driveway.
The vehicle is however parked in the area which was approved by planning and zoning as a parking area. That makes it a driveway.
