This is still on the capital improvement list for trail installation. It is awaiting funding.

Walked down last night and no work has been done to improve the entrance to the playground from near the crosswalk.

Thank you for installing surepac at the entrance. Please extend the path along side the playground so that someone using a wheelchair can get closer to the playground to watch their kids. There used to be a nice asphalt path alongside the playground. It should never have been removed. Thank you!

In order to make this accessible to all there needs to be some more work. Please improve this PUBLIC PARK to make it available to all of the PUBLIC.

The City was awarded a state grant, through the federal government, to build this connection path. The City is also responsible for 20% of the funding. Parks is working on bringing a consultant on board to work through the design this calendar year. Construction would likely begin in 2022.

Can you comment if the path will access the playground from each side? If not it would require users to go a considerable distance to the other entrance.
