I will admit that the city has responded to some of the complaints at this address but nothing changes. The city officials actually believe the stories that the homeowners tells about someone coming to buy that Firebird that sits parallel to the alley for years on end. That eyesore was supposedly sold but the buyer was waiting for his tax refund. All of the neighbors around him have had to build privacy fences so they can enjoy thier own property without having to view the junkyard.

This junkyard is the reason the house next door isn't selling. And that's not conjecture, this is the feedback everyone that looks at it gives me.

I understand that the city has an ordinance relating to fencing. Tattered tarp fences do not appear to be permitted as I read the city code.

There's a trailer parked on the strip of grass between the curb and sidewalk now. There's udually a motorcycle or an old boat on a trailer parked there.

The vorrect address for this junkyard is 946 1st St SE. But it doesn't matter because nobody does anything about it anyway. Maybe the new councilman for the 3rd Ward will crack down on this.

Please leave this matter open and continue to closely monitor this situation for code violations. While the occupant of the home has made some effort to clean up the property it continues to be a neighborhood eyesore. Junk continues to be stored outdoors, partially concealed by tarps, strung across wire fence material on the east side of the property. This fence does not meet city code and is clearly out of compliance with municipal standards and practices. Thank you for your efforts.

This property continues to be a blighted, deteriorating property in the neighborhood. The tarp privacy fence in the front of the property (non conforming to city code fencing standards) is now wind damaged, ripped and torn to reveal a side yard full of junk and trash, visible from the street and to the general public. Trash, tires, propane tanks, lawn mowers, snow blowers, building materials, gas cans present a potential public safety hazard.

The lovely homemade fence now has some kind of wire grating wired to the top to prevent the 6 dogs that live there from escaping the feces filled, tarp covered dirt patch in front of the house. The inoperable Firebird continues to sit inches from the alley and although they did move the short bus, the back and dide yards continue to accumulate garbage. The next heavy wind we have could bring fown the rickety old brick chimney on the garage which could actually do some serious damage. But...the city continues to let this eyesore persist for yet another consecutive year.

So the issue continues to be "open" after over 200 days of the report? Why? What is the city doing to address this situation?

This issue remains open and unabated for almost 800 days! It needs to be resolved one way or another, in fairness to neighbors and the property owner as well. 800 days of no resolution is unacceptable.
