Description

I am a resident in this block. Last Friday, without any warning, a large and healthy tree was removed from the yard outside our window belonging to the landlord of 173 Park St. I believe the property is managed by Pike. While I realize this land is not part of our apartment building, the removal of the tree has made our apartment noticeably hotter and certainly deprived many animals of their homes. I am wondering if there is any way to find out the reason for the tree's removal, and whether there might by any programs or laws in New Haven that would allow for the tree to be replaced with something new--the current patch of dry grass is highly unappealing and attracts trash from the parking lot.
Thank you so much for your help.
