Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.

This belongs to tenants of apartment building on Illinois St. 8 units that are a constant strain on city services & resources. The fact that property owners skate by for YEARS without being held accountable is obscene & negligent. And it perpetuates this behavior in their dysfunctional tenants because there is zero push back. Items like this are hazardous to our health & should be treated as such.

Honestly, I empathize with you Christine. You've had to deal with issues in those units for as long as I can recall. I wonder if there's a way to go back through this portal here and compile all the nuisance issues in order to substantiate a complaint with the property owner(s)? As a property manager myself, I've worked with the City's Neighborhood Law Program and have had a fair amount of success dealing with problematic properties over the past couple of years. The one thing NLP's Eli has taught me is that consistent documentation is key. Often times when an owner is presented with a quantified and qualified list, they will take steps to correct or mitigate the issues. I know when neighbors contact me about my tenants in the properties I manage, I am very quick to respond. I live here and work here; I get it.

Thank you for the info. We've tried every available option. The city government has devolved into a dysfunctional mess, which is reflected in the deteriorating conditions all over town. It's sad to watch. I've given up on anything changing, so I will continue to push back on the ever encroaching blight/crime wave until I am able to move. Glad to see there are still people who care about our neighborhood.
