These are recurring sink holes, and one has recently popped open due to persistent freezing temps. In Fall 2016, this sinkhole was neglected and got so big it ripped the wheel and axle off a car causing a terrible accident. These sinkholes appear to indicate the underside of Main St is washing out from beneath the asphalt and likely require more attention than just an asphalt patch.
