Description

Southbound traffic light on Washington at Ella Grasso Boulevard to Spring Street does not remain green long enough for more than 3 cars to proceed before it turns red. This is problematic between 5pm and 6pm when there is much traffic heading east to 95. The northbound light from Spring comes on first allowing 10-12 cars to turn left, right, and go straight. But the southbound light comes on for left turn as well as straight but heavy oncoming traffic from Spring rarely allows room for cars to turn left onto the Boulevard until the light is about to turn red, and only those under the light or in the intersection can pass thru (and risk collision). Please adjust the timing to allow more cars thru. Perhaps if the left turn signals on both sides operate simultaneously, this will alleviate some of the back up on Washington as well as Spring.
