So where in the world would you like people to put their trash in a storage unit so it’s out of your eye sight?

The trash at this location has been a continuous problem for as long as I can remember. It would be understandable if the issue was only once in a while, but these people constantly have trash outside of their big bin. And seems like they don’t even use the bin at all sometimes and just put trash outside of it. The mattress in this picture isn’t an exception either. There are oftentimes very large items blocking the sidewalk and pertruding way outside of the bin. I thought these people were moving out of their house when it first started happening because of all the large trash, but it hasn’t changed in a full year!! Not to mention, the random pieces of garbage that fall out of bags and are strewn about the road and sidewalk, such as dirty diapers and old food containers. Doesn’t make for a very pleasant situation and certainly doesn’t make this street a desirable one! The heights is a beautiful neighborhood, but if the city wants people to desire the area, the trash situation and the people contributing to it need to be addressed!

This is an ongoing issue with the owners of 8 Hutton, 10 Hutton, and 200 New York Ave. (same person owns all buildings). They have instructed the tenants of all 3 buildings to put their trash here. There is a broken trash bin for proper trash storage, but it is not used and the trash gets thrown all over the sidewalk and neighboring yard and driveway (not their property).
