Thank you for contacting UDOT. We have made significant changes to the timing of this intersection due to construction. Extensive construction in the area has dramatically altered the geometry of the 11400 S intersection. Due to its current configuration, the signal is running significantly different timing plans to allow for safe clearance times (red and yellow times) that are much longer than they were previously. This allows vehicles to safely traverse the intersection, which has been made much wider for left-turners. The additional time given to these clearance phases must be taken from other phases, which leaves less overall time for every phase. This will temporarily affect coordination between signals.
