this traffic intersection is going to kill someone soon. the lights really need to be changed back to how they were. Someone from the city better gone on it before there's a suit of some sort.

They also need to fix the WALK signal, so when it says WALK you don't have cars turning from Langley Rd to Sumner St and Beacon St to Sumner St.

Nancy, you may want to forward this to your neighbors or upload a photograph or video showing the WALK signal danger, in order to draw more attention to the issue.

Typically if enough people pay attention to an issue, it starts to get picked up in the media or by local elected officials.

Have you guys tried to set up "watch areas" so you can be the first to know when issues like this are reported in your neighborhood? Timeliness and immediate response (from citizens) also has an impact and it's fun to help your neighbors out with issues.

Is it possible for the police in Newton to actually cite people who block the intersection rather than just sit in their car? I've been unable to cross Beacon in my car through TWO lights because of this problem.

PLEASE fix this traffic light! Newton? Where are you? The light for traffic eastbound on Langley Rd. has an arrow for a protected left turn phase and it is not used. It should be simple to fix this!

This is a major hazard for both sides of traffic. I'm surprised there hasn't been a head on collision yet at this intersection. I know I have come close to being in a few. I live on Langley and have to pass this light a few times a day. Everyone wants to cut each other off. Please just reprogram the lights so that both sides of traffic on Langley have their own traffic signal.

Hello, Newton Traffic folks...the entire Beacon, Centre street, Langley road mulitple intersection is a poster child for entitled Newton drivers. Could there please be a fix on the lights or start citing some drivers rather than just sit in the cruiser and watch?
I just had the experience of being cut off trying to go straight on Beacon Street by all the cars assuming left turns have the right of way, never mind the usual Langley road guessing game of who has the right of way.

Why can't this intersection be changed back to how it was, with 3 light phases? The construction on the Langley Road Bridge is over. It has been over. Change the damn light back before property or people get HURT. If something happens at this intersection, I hope a lawsuit against the city follows, because ignoring this issue is foolish, reckless and irresponsible.
