The issue has not been fixed. All that was done was crews came and cleaned my particular ditch (which by the way was already clean, less a small amount of leaves which had blown into it) IT IS A NEIGHBORHOOD PROBLEM. Building in our neighborhood has not been properly monitored and new construction has not graded properly in order to let this water out. Our back yards are ALL flooded and it takes days sometimes weeks to dry out. My dog has gotten sick and even the homes close to the water (THE BAY) are now flooding more than normal. IT ALL NEEDS TO BE REDONE IMMEDIATELY.

I agree that the drainage for the entire community is not good.

I also agree that the "resolution" consisting of raking some leaves out of the ditches is not the answer to grading that has changed over the years (the ditches are, after all, dirt, which tends to move around and settle in a way that blocks run-off, especially around construction and sea-wall construction). The whole community needs to be properly graded to allow the water to run off. Back-ups in one set of ditches affect other streets, and so on.

As construction may adversely affect run-off, I suggest that additional permits to build not be granted drainage issue is fixed, and that all future permits to build include fees to cover drainage issues.

SAME PROBLEM HERE ON RIDEN STREET, ODENTON 21113....SEVERE DRAINAGE ISSUES.

Nothing has been done, its the same issue with no resolve.

This will stay open until you fix it! I have no problem answering this email and keeping this open for as long as it takes until it is fixed!

The problem is getting worse, with no resolve from the County. But wait, they did inspect my water collection system, so they have time to look at stuff like that, but no time to fix the real issue with our drainage ditches.

We can't requests for entire communities, however if you have specific locations that are worse than others, please provide addresses or intersecting streets and we can create a work order for someone to come out.

5529 Gloucester street. Doing one persons house doesn't help at all. Doing the entire street does.

crew cleaned ditches - water is flowing

cleaning ditches has nothing to do with it. They need to be regraded with a transit. And when you say "cleaned", all they did was remove leaves and pile them up on the embankment. this may help the one home that you did that in front of but it does not help the neighborhood.

We still have the same issues!

Once again, I am not closing this issue until it is resolved completely. For the amount of taxes that we pay you would think that the County would fix issues, instead of sweeping them under the carpet. This type of standing water in neighborhoods is doing nothing but hurting the Bay and causing diseases for our pets and the habitat that uses the Bay to survive. Please help!!!

Please contact Southern District Roads directly (410-222-1933) in regards to this ongoing issue. When you call, refer to Work Order(s) 18386120, 18390274 and 19393673. As stated in a previous response, they are whom you need to speak with to have the problem resolved. Going forward, once a complaint is received via See Click Fix, your request is recorded then referred to the section of the Department of Public Works that handles it. You then receive a response with the contact information to follow-up with them directly.
