  PWD and OFD do not clean up Bio hazards. This needs be done by subcontactor at great expense to the taxpayers as does just about everything associated with these street people.

  Well. this guy has been there for over a year and its disgusting...its adjacent to Children's Hospital where there are children who has issues needed not to be near such filth. The City needs to address this particular location. There are often people camping under that piece of freeway. Its mostly the defecation and urine that is of issue. I know people need to have someplace, but they need to either put in porta-pots, or the gas station needs to allow them to use their facilities....neither is really acceptable, but having @#$% and urine rolling down the embankment to the sidewalk in this area is particularly unsanitary. Someone needs to take charge of the area. This is not the first time its been brought up. There are actually 2 camps under the freeway at this location. There is also another recently across the street where a woman has been staying. She has been yelling at cars and being disruptive there, as well as the guy at the corner of Shattuck and 51st-52nd. Families who come to Children's Hospital from out of the neighborhood are frightened by these people. Those of us who live here in Oakland are not so intimidated by these encampments, but people from out of the area bringing their sick children to Children's are uncomfortable even coming to Oakland, let alone having to see this filth.
