Description
How did my neighbor get the city of Vallejo to designate the area in front of his house as a Handicap Zone complete with sign and blue
painted curb? He and his wife are not handicap. In a residential area? I am confused by this. He has four houses built on his lot, a regular sized lot. This is the real issue with parking near his property. Apparently any thing is ok in Vallejo.

The City has a residential area handicap parking policy, residents who provide their valid CA Handicap Parking Placard/license plate number can apply, staff will then look at the street, parking, on-site access, etc. and make a determination if the on-street space is warranted. If it determined to be warranted, staff will have the curb painted and sign installed.
This parking space is not reserved for that resident, it is available to anyone with a valid handicap parking placard/license plate.
