Something serious needs to be done to calm traffic on this section of Chestnut. It is out of control. The lack of bikeability and speeding hurts the economy of the area, reduces property values and also endangers pedestrians.

I think the comment has to do with the very high speeds/wide lanes here. Simply narrowing the lanes with paint treatments, and/or adding a chicane treatment, would help considerably.

The high speed 40MPH traffic through this neighborhood is unacceptable.

I would suggest forwarding the request to elected officials in the area.

I think changes like this should be put on a ballott and voted on because maybe not everyone will agree with the changes. As a home owner I don't want people making decisions about any changes in the city if they don't live in the city or neighborhood. I think a vote on a ballott will keep those law makers from making any decision or laws that the community does not want and prevents law makers from being bought.
