Please do not repair. Potholes are good. The more the better. Potholes slow down traffic, so no need to install expensive speed bumps. Lots of money saved for the city budget. More importantly, potholes damage tires and suspension systems on cars which is good for the local car shops. They have to sell more tires and shock absorbers which generates more jobs and more tax revenue not only for the federal government but also for local governments. Finally, slowing traffic produces less emissions hence more climate protection. The lower gas consumption produces yet another benefit: the oil reserves will last longer so people will be able to drive cars for a longer time.
Given all these advantages, who would be in favor of repaving roads ? Please do not repair.

Thank you for your request. Potholes referred to the Division are normally processed within 48 hours.
Sinkholes will be referred to the appropriate utility agency for inspection and repair.
Please note that potholes cannot be repaired on days with heavy rain because the moisture will prevent asphalt from bonding with the existing pavement.
