Me and a friend spent 2 hours cleaning part of the trail because apparently the city government doesn't care about keeping this public nature walk clean. There is still a lot more to be done. We filled 4 trash bags and only got about 1/8th of the way down and there is still more trash on the hill in that 1/8th.
Is this a joke? It looks as if not a single piece of trash was collected, never mind the larger items. Both hills have a ton of trash still on them, especially the hill closer to front street that is directly visible to people on the path.
Picked up two more trash bags worth. Still more on the slopes, especially larger items I can't fit in a bag. The foliage has grown in some more and covered some areas, which is beneficial in not seeing the trash in some areas, but it's still there. Would make sense to have a clean up each spring before the foliage grows in next year.
Is this area not considered part of Downtown Chicopee? Last comment from 6/12/18, I am wondering if any of this has been addressed or if the issue is once closed that's the end of it. What is the state of the rail trail at this point?

Looks like Ward 4, call your councilor for help. He should be happy to assist the constituents of his Ward?
