I have had some close calls here too.

How about the turn only lane on Whalley in front of the old Tommy K's. I have watched Police Officers witness people go straight and cause near accidents dozens of times. I asked one officer why he didin't do anything and he replied "What am I supposed to do" YOUR JOB came to mind.

If the cops don't care then whats the point of the sign and street markings-maybe when someone is killed while making an illegal lane change or when construction is complete in 2012, whichever comes first!!!

Better signage, line painting, and a wee bit of police enforcement might go a long way in mitigating this hazardous free-for-all. If I put bumper stickers on my car (which I don't), I'd have one saying, "I [heart] cops who enforce traffic laws."

nothing will ever change in this city- cops will NOT enforce traffic laws so do what you want when you want with no repurcussions !!
