This is insane, and they don’t do anything to put his people in another place! The government clearly don’t understand this is main st!!!! Everyone who comes for busyness to town and stays downtown even if it’s in a taxi or by metro they see these people here!

What other place might be acceptable? I hate the litter generated, but I don't have a solution so all I can do is help pick some of it up.

It is very evident that the city - specifically the Mayor - really do not consider this an issue. It is purposely allowed to happen. Good luck with the "Innovation Corridor." Maybe the innovation will be a way to stop people from blocking traffic, harassing drivers, and peeing on buildings.

This afternoon at 6:15pm a man in the middle of the right hand lane was blocking traffic and begging for money at Wheeler and Main. He initially didn't move though cars were approaching him head on. At the last moment he moved. That's the same red light where two weekends ago I had stopped and saw two men holding a Bic lighter under a bag or container and then passing the container to a third guy. This happened mid afternoon and the container looked to me like drug paraphernalia. Down the street half a block north of the Binz and San Jacinto intersection a guy was defecating in public around noon on Saturday. Can our present elected officials fix this or not?

The worst part here is they are ignoring us

This morning there was a Police presence right at the beginning of Richmond near Main. The panhandlers were staying away from the traffic at that moment.
