Hearing it right now too. Ridiculous.

This happens nightly up until 5 AM, mostly on Madison between Lark and Knox, along with the lack of noise and patio ordinance enforcement at Lark Tavern, the Lionheart, and outside Dunkin Donuts. The safety and quality of life issues and stress for both child and adult residents, in this area, is untenable. We've asked for law enforcement and help from the city repeatedly. The response is always the same: Contact Officers Lynch or Webster. That has also not resulted in any progress. Please call the police station (and contact Councilman Conti) each and every time issues occur. This is what APD has said to do for resource allocation, because if incidents go unreported (to police not just seeclickfix), it appears we have far fewer law enforcement needs than is true. And, if you live on a currently quieter safer street, please lend your voice and support. We are a community and these issues are already spreading.

All the Neighborhood Associations on or near the Lark Corridor (which includes around to Park South) also need to pull together to bring attention to all the overall issues in the neighborhood: shootings/shots fired/stabbings, bars not closing when they are supposed to, bars not closing patios when they should, fighting and large crowd brawls, drug use and dealing, extremely frequent number of people walking on Lark and side streets smoking weed at all times of the day, plus in the park on the benches, motorcycles & ATVs speeding around, doing wheelies, revving engines, aggressive and overwhelming number of panhandlers, homeless camping out in the park (with big obvious tents!), screaming, fighting, urinating/defecating on the grounds, and harassing park goers, double parking along Lark, which happens constantly, creating traffic jams, prostitution ... the list is LONG. They also need to find out when the next police union contract is being negotiated so that it can be reworked to account for the need for overnight and weekend beat cop patrols in all of these areas, including Washington Park. The current contract is what we are constantly told is the issue with getting coverage -- that the contract does not allow for that kind of coverage. Use of SeeClickFix is obviously NOT working for these kinds of issues, given the number of reported SCF Issues I have seen about all of these things, and an ever increasing number of comments and "votes" for them as well. A meeting in person with the city is what is needed, especially before another contract is signed.

Getting back to the original subject-- motorcycles. Ticketing for noise is great, but it doesn't really get at the root cause, motorcycles illegally modified to intentionally make loud noise. How are these making it past inspection? Why aren't they impounded instead of just getting a noise ticket?
